Last week I went for dinner in Rotterdam with colleagues. For some reason, I don’t often eat seafood, so we went to a Portuguese fish and grill restaurant called Opporto.
Opporto is, what I would call, a mid range priced restaurant. Click here for the menu.
First of all: I love the interior! The ceilings were quite high but because of all the wood, the atmosphere was quite warm. We went on a thursday night and Opporto wasn’t fully booked.
I chose the Vitello Tonato as an entree. It was delicious!
My colleague choose the the Octopus.
I opted for the cod as a main course. Again: delicious!
My other colleagues choose the warm seafood plateau and the both really liked it.
I didn’t take a photo of my dessert. I had three different flavours of icecream, including a Kinder Bueno flavour. Yummy!
I had a lovely dinner. There is just one little downside to the evening. Just one small thing. When we walked in at the beginning of the evening, we were greated right away, they took are coats and accompanied us to our table. The waiters served us excellent throughout the whole evenening, up to the point when we were finished and wanted to leave. We paid, and afterwards we had to grab our coats ourselves and no one said goodbye. As I said, it’s just a small thing, but it really could have made a difference! When we walked out, we all thought it was a bit odd. But, overall I had a lovely evening.
If you’re looking for a lovely restaurant in Rotterdam where they serve lovely seafood, then consider Opporto.
